Should You Set Up Your Business as a Facebook Profile?

No

I hate to be redundant but just when I thought the message was being heard and applied I started receiving a whole bunch of “friend requests” from businesses.  This is a huge waste of your time, money and efforts.  There needs to be strategic planning on a company’s part as to how a profile will be set up and then make the appropriate Facebook page or pages.  I hate ignoring friend requests but that is the way it will have to be. I “Like” business pages and I accept “Friend” requests from humans. I know I am not the only one out there who keeps trying to spread the word, so  I am doing my part once again today.

    1. Only because they are not doing it properly.  I have worked with quite a few property management companies where they have had to start over.  Some had months of time invested into it only to have Facebook take it down.  Businesses are doing this typically as a result of lack of knowledge.  It is a personal preference to accept friend requests but I don’t see it helping people if they start things off on the wrong foot.
